We have crossed over a magic threshold – 100 posts to my blog. Something that started as a challenge from staff to document and share thoughts and experiences has turned into something quite substantial. Like most things in life, getting to a substantial accomplishment takes commitment – from me and the team that supports me in all of the things that make the site appealing and accessible. It’s been a great experience thus far.
A good portion of my readers are people who know me well – former colleagues from prior work experiences, current staff, plus the usual friends and family. Our web stats have been particularly positive with a good amount of time on the site for each visitor. This means that multiple articles are being read on each visit.
As I have indicated, the writing has been easy with an almost endless list of subjects and stories waiting in the wings for some attention. Many articles have already been completed, awaiting a publication date. Moving forward, we are going to keep publishing but at a slower pace than we have been. If we were to keep up the commitment to a Monday, Wednesday, Friday calendar, it could keep us from some of our work to create and release some new products this year. This latter activity must be our priority.
So what can you expect? We’ll publish one or two articles a week at least until the end of summer and re-evaluate our strategy at that point.
In the meantime, if you would like to provide any feedback on any aspect of the blog – things you like or don’t like, what you would like to see in the future, etc. – reach out to us at feedback@nancyknowlton.com. We’ll do our best to respond.
